Lies

To lie is part of being human. But at what point do we start lying to keep our hearts safe? At what point have we told ourselves and others so many lies that we become non-human. 

Do you lie for safety? For an opportunity to be boastful? To manipulate the narrative? 

You lied. You'll do it again. It just won't be with me this next time.

I'm sitting here and its hard for me not to feel manipulated. Last time we were in this situation you conveniently told me the lighter half of the situation.  I was led to believe one thing while only receiving half of the facts. Does that matter? Should it matter? Do I need those facts.  If I had known sooner, how would my opinion of you changed. Is this a let go and let God moment? Is this me trying to control the uncontrollable? Am I seeing what I need to see, and hearing what I need to hear.  It's hard not to think that I'm just a pawn right now.  AJV
